Document the system

Every AI system needs up-to-date technical documentation an authority could read.

What to put in place

Keep technical documentation for each system: what it is, how it works, its data, tests and changes.

Policy wording you can use

[your organisation] keeps up-to-date technical documentation for each AI system, covering its purpose, design, data, testing, performance and changes, ready to give to an authority on request.

Prove it once

Describe or link the evidence that this is in place: the policy, the page, the document reference. It is sealed once and applied to all 32 controls here that take a yes or a document (the rest need their own number or date and are listed after).

Every control that asks for this
