Know the energy your AI uses
Energy and emissions from AI use are now expected to be known, tracked and, where in scope, reported.
What to put in place
Track energy per request or decision, know your hosting provider's energy mix and review it yearly.
Policy wording you can use
[your organisation] tracks the energy used by its AI systems, knows its hosting providers' energy use and renewable share, and reviews both at least once a year.
Prove it once
Describe or link the evidence that this is in place: the policy, the page, the document reference. It is sealed once and applied to all 12 controls here that take a yes or a document (the rest need their own number or date and are listed after).
Every control that asks for this
