What is silent AI in insurance?

Silent AI is AI-related loss that an insurance policy neither clearly covers nor clearly excludes, because the wording says nothing about AI. It is the same problem as silent cyber, which Lloyd's required the market to resolve from 2019 by making every policy clear about cyber. sebbi.pro's Silent AI Scanner reads a policy wording peril by peril (errors, AI agent actions, cyber, IP, discrimination, privacy, business interruption, defamation and bodily injury) and shows whether AI loss is affirmatively covered, excluded or silent, with a silent AI score and the model clause that closes each gap. Each scan is sealed.

How it works

  1. Paste the policy wording into the Silent AI Scanner on sebbi.pro/london-market.
  2. For each peril it shows AFFIRMATIVE, EXCLUDED, SILENT or not in the wording, with the sentence it read.
  3. The silent AI score is the share of covered perils that say nothing about AI.
  4. Close the gaps with the sealed model clauses SBP-AI-01 to SBP-AI-04, adapted to your own wording.

Underwriters, brokers and wordings teams use it as a first-pass review. It is also available to AI assistants through the sebbi.pro MCP server as sebbi_silent_ai_scan.
